Senegal have qualified for the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Bahamas after defeating Egypt 5-2 in the first semi-final match of the 2016 CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations at the Eko Atlantic Beach Lagos on Saturday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
This will be Senegal's sixth final appearance in the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.
Also they will be attending their fourth FIFA World Cup.
The first period was a cagey affair with chances coming at a premium for both sides.
With four minutes remaining, Elmoatazzbellah Samy went close for Egypt but his effort came off the post while Papa Ndour also had a chance for Senegal only to see his chance bounce off the crossbar.
And with one minute remaining in the first period, Egypt eventually opened the scoring through Moustafa Samir.
In the second period, Senegal equalised in the seventh minute with Babacar Fall getting on the score sheet.
Egypt took the lead again through Elmotazzbellah Samir in the ninth minute, but Senegal hit back again thanks to the impressive Fall with one minute remaining in the second period.
And in the final period, it was Senegal all the way as goals from Fall, Lansana Diassy and Mamadou Sylla sealed the win and qualification for the FIFA World Cup in Bahamas.
