Tennis legend Boris Becker says he always knew Novak Djokovic would come back to regain his top form. The Serb spent much of 2017 and the start of 2018 out on the treatment table, with the most recent problem being his elbow which required surgery.
He slipped down as far as number 12 in the rankings but enjoyed an extraordinary end to the season as he managed to win both Wimbledon and the US Open for the fourth and third time respectively.

He also won the Cincinnati Masters to become the first player to win all nine ATP Masters 1000 events at least once in their career.
And Becker, who coached Djokovic between 2013 and 2016 says he was never in any doubt about his ability to return to the top. “He has a winning mentality”, Becker said on Djokovic.
“I am happy that he is with his old team, which gives him confidence. For me it was just a matter of time before he came back at the top. When he gives his best in training and he plays enough matches, he returns and he is there again.”Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
