Former England and Manchester United great David Beckham has begged former teammate at Real Madrid Zinedine Zidane to beat Liverpool in the Champions League final on Saturday.
Beckham played alongside Zidane at Madrid from 2003 to 2006 after departing United.
At United, Beckham faced Liverpool in different fierce battles in the Premier League and Cup ties.
Zidane could win his third Champions League as a manager, and Madrid could become the first club to win the competition for a third straight time since its name was changed from the European Cup.
According to The Mirror, Beckham who sat down with Zidane to preview the final, praised the 1998 World Cup star for his achievements since taking over at Madrid.
“To have been successful as a player and now to be successful as the boss, the big boss, is incredible,” he said to Zidane.
“I just want to wish Zizou, the boss, the president, the club good luck in the Champions League final.
“And please beat Liverpool, please!”
