Benitez Shrugs Off Dubravka Interest

Rafa Benitez isn’t worried about rumours linking Martin Dubravka to Juventus and says it must mean the Slovakian is doing well. The former Sparta Prague goalkeeper signed a permanent deal at St James’ Park this summer after an impressive loan spell, has recently been linked with the Italian champions.

But, when asked about the rumours, Benitez said: “Do I worry? No, not really. “Anyone can be linked with anyone, anytime, and maybe it is not true. For us, we do not have any news. He is doing well, training well. “For sure, if you do well there are not too many good players around, and everyone can see, OK, he is a market opportunity for different clubs. “But if he continues to do well, it is good for us. If he attracts interest it means he is doing well, positive, doing well — but also negative, because it means they are attacking a lot!”  Benitez concluded.

Dubravka, 29, signed a four-year deal when he made his move to Newcastle permanent in June for a reported fee of 4million euros.
