Ryan Bennett says Wolves have shown during the first 12 matches of the season that they aren’t content just to avoid relegation. The 28-year-old played his part in a very strong defensive performance by Wolves in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Arsenal, restricting the home side for long periods before Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s equaliser four minutes from full-time.
The good showing in north London was just the latest from Nuno Espirito Santo’s promoted side against the Premier League’s big boys, battling out 1-1 draws with Manchester City and Manchester United earlier this season.
Having created numerous chances to win at the weekend, Bennett admits there was a sense of disappointment among the players at full-time.
The former Peterborough and Norwich man says there were plenty of positives to take away as well, though, claiming Nuno’s attacked-minded approach proves they are not just content with making up the numbers on their return to the top flight. “That’s the way we’re going to be,” Bennett told the Wolves website. “We’re 12 games in to the league now and we haven’t changed.
“We’re going to go out there and attack teams, we’re not going out there just to survive. It was the same last year and it’s the same this year, and although there’s things that change within the way we do it, we try to do whatever we need to do to win the game.
“We’re going to keep doing what we’re doing. We might be disappointed now but we’ve got two massive games coming up and we need to keep putting our stamp on the games and go and get the points.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
