Bielsa Targets Mandanda As Enyeama’s Backup At Lille

Lille manager, Marcelo Bielsa is targeting Crystal Palace goalkeeper, Steve Mandanda as a backup to Vincent Enyeama ahead of the forthcoming French Ligue-One season, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Bielsa was appointed as Lille's new manager in May replacing interim boss Franck Passi.

According to a report on France football, the 61-year-old who signed a two-year contract with the French side does not have absolute faith in 21 year old Mike Maignan as a backup to Enyeama.

Enyeama who has two years left on his current deal conceded 40 goals and kept eight clean sheets in 32 Ligue 1 appearances last season.

Bielsa however has identified Mandanda as his preferred choice to compete with Enyeama who will turn 35 in August ahead of next season.

The French international made nine English Premier League appearances for Crystal Palace and he is desperate to leave this summer.
