Bloom Hoping For Breakthrough Campaign

Brighton chairman Tony Bloom insists his squad are good enough to take points off the top six away from home this season. The Seagulls owner has spent heavily in the summer to try and give Chris Hughton a chance to kick on this season.
Brighton comfortably avoided relegation last time out but they started the campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Watford.

Hughton’s men will take on Manchester United at home this weekend but Bloom is targeting better results away from home against the top six.
They picked up points during their battles at the Amex, but on the road they failed to secure a single point and Bloom believes they have the squad to challenge.

He told The Argus: “Probably, we can’t complain about the timing of the (United) game. But whatever team they put out it’s going to be tremendously difficult. But we know we can beat these teams, particularly at home.
“I’m hoping we get some points away against the big six as well this season. I think for sure this squad of players is the strongest this football club has ever had.”
