Sassuolo midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng says he’s happy with the way his side have started the season as they remain unbeaten. Boateng opened the scoring at the weekend in their 5-3 win against Genoa to keep up their unbeaten start after three games.
The Ghanaian now has two goals to his name in his first three appearances for his new club since joining in the summer from Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt.
And the former Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth midfielder says he is thrilled with his side’s start, particularly the performance against Genoa, as they currently lie in second place after two wins and a draw so far.
“I do not know what we did, we worked hard and we had fun. After the fourth goal, everything seemed easy, it’s normal with this young team. We got three points at home, it’s positive because we played well,” he told Sky Sports.
“We did a great job in the first half despite the first fifteen minutes. We are a great group, the guys who go on the bench do not get angry, this is about the coach who keeps everyone together. The team played well, there are two or three things we need to fix.”
