Boban Backs Milan Revival

Milan legend Zvonimir Boban feels it will take another three to four years before the club is back at the top of Italian football. The Rossoneri dominated Serie A in the 1990s but last won the Italian top-flight title in the 2010-11 season.

They have been usurped as top dogs by Juventus, with the Old Lady having won seven straight Scudettos and in pole position for number eight.

Milan have been down with the also-rans for some time and are currently 10th in the standings, with 12 points from seven games played, but Boban sees the good times returning with a couple of club legends on the board.

“I hope they can start a new cycle and that within three to four years, we’ll see Milan again in all their greatness, but we need a lot of work. I wish them well,” he told Radio Anchio Sport.

“Leonardo and Maldini have started working very well, they’ve put everything into their roles and they know football. Good results will come, it takes time.”
