Cote d’Ivoire international, Wilfred Bony, has completed a season-long loan move to Stoke City from Manchester City.
Manchester City announced Bony’s move to the Potters on their official website on Wednesday.
“Manchester City can confirm Wilfried Bony has joined Stoke City on loan until the end of the 2016/17 season,” Manchester City confirmed.
“After joining the Blues from Swansea in January 2015, Bony’s debut for the club was delayed by Ivory Coast’s successful African Cup of Nations campaign.
“Wilfried made his debut as a late substitute in City’s 5-0 home victory over Newcastle United towards the end of February and was called upon three days later to make an impact in City’s Champions League home tie with Barcelona when his team were 2-0 down.
“It worked as the striker’s presence helped Manuel Pellegrini’s side to pull a goal back and give themselves a chance heading to the Nou Camp.”
Bony lost his place at City following the arrival of Pep Guardiola as manager this summer.
