Super Eagles Land In Tanzania To Warm Reception

By Johnny Edward In Dar Es Salaam:

The Super Eagles and senior reporter JOHNNY EDWARD arrived in Dar Es Salaam at around 10.10pm Nigerian time on Thursday night (12.10am Friday morning in Tanzania) for Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Taifa Stars.
The Nigerian contingent, made up of 23 players and the Sunday Oliseh-led technical crew, were well received by the hosts, leaving the visitors with no complaints.
Stand-in captain Ahmed Musa and Godfrey Oboabona led the way as the three-time AFCON winners entered their hotel, the Hyatt Regency, at exactly 12:42 am Friday Tanzanian time (10.42pm Thursday Nigerian time).

The Super Eagles will put finishing touches to their preparation for the game when they have a feel of the Dar Es Salaam National Stadium turf later on Friday, was informed here in Tanzania.

The Eagles go into the clash as favourites against bottom placed Tanzania who are seeking their first points in the group.

Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam, fondly called ‘The Kilimanjaro’, is a 5-star hotel in the heart of the largest Tanzanian city.
