Bremen Forward Calls For Ruthlessness

Werder Bremen attacker Davy Klaassen has urged his side to be more clinical in front of goal after downing Eintracht Frankfurt. Bremen picked up their first victory of the season at Frankfurt on Saturday thanks to a late winner from substitute Milot Rashica.

The visitors had taken an early lead through Yuya Osako and it looked as if they had three points in the bag when Frankfurt were reduced to 10 men just after the half-hour mark.

Bremen dominated but were pegged back as Frankfurt’s Sebastian Haller scored from the penalty spot in the second half and Rashica’s late strike spared their blushes.

Klaassen welcomed the victory but warned his side they must be more efficient in front of goal if they are to enjoy a successful campaign.

“We created a lot of chances and it was a shock when Frankfurt equalised,” he told the club’s official website. “We need to take our chances more, but we’re happy to get the three points.”
