Werder Bremen have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Cologne to sign their top scorer Anthony Ujah for five million euros.
The Nigeria international has been one of the catalysts for Cologne surviving on their return to the Bundesliga this season, with his 10 goals keeping them away from the relegation zone.
The 24-year-old, who only joined the Billy Goats from Mainz in 2013, has been linked to a host of clubs due to his fine goalscoring form this term and has now settled on a move to Werder.
Ujah is believed to have asked to move to Bremen and has agreed a four-year contract with Die Werderaner, with the two clubs said to have settled on a fee of five million euro.
“Anthony has a great profile, plays with a lot of passion, a lot of power, is very diligent and strong in the air,” Bremen’s director of professional football and scouting, Rouven Schroder, told the club’s website.
