CAF Congress Delays Keshi Deal

Out-of-contract Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, will not sign his new deal this week as President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick and General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi are already in Cairo for the 37th Ordinary General Assembly of the Confederation of African Football which will be kicking off today, Complete Sports can report.

The CAF General Assembly commenced fully Monday evening with a dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel Nile Plaza, and on Tuesday, the Assembly will convene at the Aida Ballroom of Marriott Hotel Zamalek in Cairo.

On Wednesday, there will be a meeting of the CAF Executive Committee, to be followed by the naming of the Host Country for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations finals, as well as the Draw for the qualification series for that competition.

Pinnick is expected back in the country on Thursday and it remains uncertain if the deal will be signed on Friday.
