Enugu Rangers international coach, Imama Amapakabo, is confident his side will see off the threat posed by Egyptian side Zamalek in the Round of 32 of the 2017 CAF Champions League, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Rangers were billed to fly out to Egypt today (Thursday) ahead of the Sunday's fixture.
The Flying Antelopes will host the Five-time CAF Champions League winners in the second leg scheduled be played between 17th and 19th of March.
Amapakabo who led the reigning Nigeria Professional Football League champions past JS Saoura of Algeria in the preliminary round of the competition outwitting them 1-1 on aggregates claims the 2016 Champions League runners-up, Zamalek are not better that JS Saoura.
"I was excited when the draw was made," Amapakabo told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"I think it's a rare chance for us to made good use of the chance we have playing in the CAF Champions League."
Amapakabo recently berated Zamalek in an interview on Supersport's program Naija Made a fortnight ago.
"I think JS Saoura is a better team than Zamalek I make bold to say that. At times when I talk, people say that I'm either not sane, arrogant or mad," he said "We embraced it and here we are Zamalek lie in the wait for us."
Both JS Saoura and Zamalek finished second in their respective leagues last season.
The NPFL champions will qualify for the money-spinning stage of the competition, if they edge the Egyptian club over two legs.
