By Adeboye Amosu: Nigerian champions Plateau United went down to a 4-2 defeat against Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia in the first leg of their CAF Champions League first round fixture at the Stade Olympique Sousse on Tuesday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The Jos club rallied back from four goals down to make the scoreline more respectable and the return leg more competitive.
Kennedy Boboye’s men will now need to score two goals without conceding in the reverse fixture in a fortnight to book their passage into the lucrative group stage of the competition.
The hosts started the game on the perfect note when Amr Marei gave them the lead in the first minute following a perfect pass by Al Khaly Bangoura.
They doubled their lead a minute later through Amine Chermiti who capitalised on poor defending by the visitors to slot ball into the net.
Spurred on by the vociferous home fans, Etoile continued their onslaught on the Plateau United defence when Chermiti increased their lead with a cheeky backheel in the 10th minute
Etoile slowed down the tempo of their attack in the second half but soon got the fourth in the 54th minute courtesy of Ayman Sfaxi deflected strike.
Plateau United did not give up and were rewarded for their efforts when Rapheal Ayagwa converted from the spot in the 69th minute.
Tosin Omoyele further reduced the deficit seven minutes from time when he netted Plateau United’s second of the game.
