This is what happens when a fake champion is presented because of half league matches only played before declaring Champion.

  • A club that has not played a league match since May 2018 (8 months). Only action is maybe one match a month in the the AITEO cup is not enough to build up stamina, match fitness or competitive edge. Add to the fact that many Nigerian clubs have been rebuilding taking on a new coach and several new players (Transfer season in December as opposed to other clubs around the world that have settled their playing staff and systems).
Playing a team that has been playing regularly together since August. Gor Mahia even played a friendly against Everton in England last month.

Nigerian local football is in the doldrums, and people want these players to come and perform badly in the Super eagles. I say until the league has played at least 3 months, there shouldn’t be a call for local players in the Super Eagles
