On-loan midfielder Victor Camarasa is enjoying his loan spell at Cardiff City and has described the fans as ‘respectful and grateful’. The 24-year-old made the move from Real Betis in the final week of the summer transfer window and has started three Premier League matches for the Bluebirds, scoring his first goal for the club in the 3-2 home defeat to Arsenal just before the international break.
“It is a very nice opportunity for me, it is an experience that will shape me a lot as a footballer,” he told Radio Marca.
“The style of play is very different from that of Spain. It is a much more direct game, faster and more vertical. I had it clear from the beginning. The other day I scored my first goal and the truth is that I am feeling very comfortable. The atmosphere here is not in any other league – the people are very respectful and grateful.”
Camarasa started 14 Primera Division matches for Real Betis last season but found himself squeezed out of the first team after the signing of William Carvalho from Sporting Lisbon.
“Betis has a very good squad this season,” he added. “There are many players that go with their selections, that creates a lot of competition and has served to improve the team. I hope they play a good role and that the Betis fans are happy.”Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
