Barring any last minute hitches, a 35-man Cameroon contingent will arrive in Uyo on August 30 for the September 1 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Nigeria, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
A Completesportsnigeria.com source in Camfoot.com revealed on Wednesday: “My friend, I can confidently inform you that our team wo leave for Nigeria in seven days‘ time.
“Everything is well mapped out by FECAFOOT to ensure our Lions have a smooth qualifier against Nigeria. I believe a contingent of around 35 people will arrive on a chartered flight to ensure a smooth return immediately after the match.
“Although our country is currently faced with hosting troubles with CAF, our FA is not joking with the qualifiers.
“You may be aware an advance team visited Uyo recently to pay for hotel and get a good training ground for our team.”
Nigeria lead Group A with six points after two straight wins over Chipolopolo of Zambia and Algeria, while Cameroon occupy second spot with two points from three games. Zambia and Algeria are third and fourth on the log with one point each.
