Can The Falconets Win The FIFA U20 World Cup?

Nigeria’s Women U20 national team, the Falconets will be part of the FIFA U20 World Cup that kicks off today in Canada.

The team are able to participate in the competition thanks to the lifting of the FIFA suspension placed on Nigeria last month.

The Nigerian U20 side have showed a lot of promise in the competition. They finished second in 2010, losing to hosts Germany, in the final.

Now, as the Falconets get set to play Mexico in their first game of the World Cup on Wednesday night/early morning Thursday, what are your expectations from the team?

Do you think they have the wherewithal to go one better than their 2010 feat and win the World Cup this year?

Do you see the earlier anxiety of FIFA’s verdict as regard the ban on Nigeria being a motivating factor or otherwise for the Nigerian team?

I think for the march against Mexico, they didn’t show they can win this cup. However, the players are not calm in front of the goals. That is why they can not score. And, for one of the line coach standing, how come you are talking with your GIRLS in English speak pidgin or Nigeria local languages or demonstrate rather than speaks the general language everybody can speak. I DON’T see calmness in the team. if we are to win this cup a lot needs to be done especially from our goal keeper/unsettled defender/midfield and attackers. There is room for improvement in the second match, we shall be looking forward to see good outing with clinical goals. Long live Nigeria!

i believe that God will help the falconets girls by surprising Africa with a great vision and upliftment that will shock the European continents and others that thinks that nothing good can come from Africa as a whole. What a man can do a woman can do it more better

I can say that victory in every competition determined on team work,,,,, so if they have being charged currently to keep flying with accurate Foucault extremely thirsty for the champion ,,we shall rejoice with them.

  • The Girls have all it takes to clinch the trophy, yes they ve got the determination mostly needed.
