Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez says he is itching to have a rematch with Floyd Mayweather if the American decides to come out of retirement. The 28-year-old’s professional record contains just one defeat which came at the hands of Mayweather in September 2013.
Mayweather won courtesy of a majority decision but ‘Canelo’ believes the result would be different if they were to meet again.
The Mexican, who is known for his counter-punching ability, recently beat Gennady Golovkin via majority decision and is regarded as one of the best around.
He will look to further enhance his reputation when he faces Rocky Fielding in December, and he admits he would always be open to stepping back into the ring with Mayweather.
“Anytime he’s ready, I’m ready,” Alvarez said to USA Today Sports. “If the day comes that he wants to come out of retirement for it, I’m a different fighter, I’m more mature, I’m a great, A-level fighter now and it would be a great opportunity. “I’ve always had that little itch for it since way back, and now I’m more experienced and more mature. It’s a fight that could happen.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
