The agent of Edinson Cavani says there “must be conditions” for the Paris Saint-Germain star to make a return to Napoli. Uruguay international Cavani make the switch from Naples to the Parc des Princes in 2013 and he has been a regular first-team member ever since, scoring 121 goals from 172 Ligue 1 appearances.
The 31-year-old’s current deal expires in the summer of 2020 and discussions over extending his stay are believed to have stopped after an agreement could not be reached between both parties.
A return to Napoli has been mooted and Cavani’s agent has not ruled out a return although he did insist the forward is currently only thinking about helping PSG win trophies.
Asked about the future of the forward by the site Sportnews.eu, the agent said: “Everything is possible, but there must be conditions to return to Naples. Edinson loves Naples but he stays at Paris Saint-Germain.
“I have not had any contact with (Aurelio) De Laurentiis to mention a comeback under Carlo Ancelotti, PSG will not give it. Today, Edinson only wants to win the Champions League with the Parisians.”
