Celtic manager Ronny Deila has been quoted by the Daily Record playing down the idea Efe Ambrose could leave the club.
The Record states reported interest from Crystal Palace and West Ham United, but the Norwegian says his centre back isn’t going anywhere.
“He is going to stay,” the Record quotes him as saying when asked about Ambrose’s future.
It’s no surprise that the Celtic boss wants to hang onto Ambrose because he’s one of the most experienced options in his current back four.
He’s made 14 appearances in the Scottish Premier League so far this season, which shows he’s a prominent member of Celtic’s first team squad.
There is an appeal for the player in moving to the Premier League, where he’d experience an arguably higher standard of football and a more competitive division.
However, the 26-year-old Nigerian is under contract with the Scottish giants until 2017, which means Deila is under no pressure to move the player on if he doesn’t want to.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
