Watford’s Nathaniel Chalobah made his senior England debut from the substitutes’ bench in the historic 3-2 win in Spain on Monday.
The 23-year-old midfielder became the first Watford player to represent the Three Lions since John Barnes in 1987 as he stepped off the bench in the closing stages of the Nations League win in Sevilla.
Gareth Southgate’s side stormed into a 3-0 half-time lead thanks to a Raheem Sterling brace either side of a Marcus Rashford strike.
Paco Alcacer got Spain back into the game just before the hour and Chalobah came on with the score at 3-1 in the first minute of injury time as he replaced Tottenham’s Harry Winks.
Sergio Ramos pulled another back with the last touch of the game in the 98th minute as England held on to record their first win in Spain since 1987 and ended the hosts’ 15-year unbeaten record.
Chalobah will now be hoping to continue his good form for the Hornets and add more caps to his name in future matches having finally made the breakthrough.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
