CHAN: Surgery Rules Out Tunisia Coach Kasperczak

Tunisia's Carthage Eagles will be without their widely travelled Polish coach Henryk Kasperczak when hostilities begin in the Orange Africa Nations Championship this weekend in Kigali.

The former Mali and Senegal coach is now recovering from surgery and has been temporarily replaced by assistant Hatem Missaoui.

Already, Missaoui has swung into action by inviting up Club Africain midfielder Ahmed Khalil to replace injured Iheb Msakni.

Mskani was ruled out of the 2016 African Nations Championship, which will take place in Rwanda from January 16 to February 7, after suffering muscle injuries during their training camp in Monastir.

Tunisia faced domestic side Union Sportive Monastirienne in a warm-up friendly on Tuesday, as they are preparing for the launch of their continental campaign against Guinea in Kigali on 18 January.

The Carthage Eagles will then take on their other two Group C opponents, Nigeria and Niger, in their bid for a spot in the knockout stage of the tournament.
