Chelsea have reportedly had enough of Mikel Obi and are encouraging Italian clubs to take him off their hands.
The Premier League club are reported to be offering the Super Eagles midfielder to Serie A clubs for just €6m (£4.8m).
Mikel has been with Chelsea since 2006 but has struggled lately as Jose Mourinho prefers other midfielders to the sometimes sluggish Nigerian.
Although he has a contract with the Blues until June 2017, Mikel has long been seen as being surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and has been the subject of transfer speculation for some time.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Chelsea representatives are desperately trying to offload Mikel to an Italian club this summer.
Considering the lack of interest in the 27-year-old, they have lowered their asking price to just €6m – around £4.8m.
However, there are still no apparent takers for the man who has been at Stamford Bridge since 2006.
