Bournemouth could be lining up Manchester City youngster Lukas Nmecha for their next signing from a top-six club. The Cherries, currently residing in the Premier League’s top six themselves, have pounced for a number of talented youngsters from England’s elite over recent years, including Jordon Ibe, Nathan Ake and Adam Smith.
The Sun claim Nmecha is now firmly on Eddie Howe’s radar after impressing during the early stages of his season-long loan spell at North End.
The Cherries reportedly view him as a long-term target and will maintain a careful watch over his progress at Preston, with Eddie Howe said to believe he is ‘perfect’ for Bournemouth’s system.
Nmecha has yet to score for the Championship club but has put in a series of fine performances for Alex Neil’s men. The 19-year-old was part of England’s victorious Under-20 side at the Toulon tournament this past summer alongside Bournemouth duo Lewis Cook and Aaron Ramsdale.
