Super Falcons assistant coach Ann Agumanu-Chiejine has assured Nigerians that the women's national team will overcome Senegal in today's Africa Women Cup of Nations qualifier in Dakar, reports.

The Falcons with former skipper Florence Omagbemi in charge, will at 6pm today (Friday) play against Senegal's Lionesses in the first leg of their qualifiers to the tournament that will be hosted by Cameroon between November 19 and December 3, 2016.

The second leg holds next week in Nigeria, but the former international tells in an exclusive chat from Dakar that the nine-time African champions are going for all three points in this evening's game.

"The players can't wait for the kick off. We are in Dakar for an important match and we want a win. Not even a draw.

"Recently there was disappointment when the Super Eagles, unfortunately, couldn't qualify for the men's version of the Nations Cup. Senegal will not deny us that right to participate in this year's tournament and defend our title. That is our belief and assurance to Nigerians," Chiejine reiterates.

Chiejine adds that the team is in good physical condition.

"There has been no major injury in camp. We left Nigeria with a fit team and we are confident of beating Senegal today. Thank you," Chiejine concludes.

The Falcons coaching crew will be banking on the likes of Asisat Oshoala (Most Valueable Player of the last edition in Namibia), Desire Oparanozie (Top scorer in Namibia with five goals), Francesca Ordega and Ngozi Okobi for goals.
