Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo was in action for Changchun Yatai but could not prevent them from losing 2-1 away to Hebei CFFC in the Chinese Super League on Saturday.
Ighalo featured for 90 minutes in the game which was his ninth appearance. He has scored two goals this season.
Argentine forward Ezequeil Lavezzi put Hebei 1-0 up in the 10th minute before Long Tan equalised for Changchun Yatai on 65 minutes.
In the 90th minute, Chengdong Zhang scored the winning goal to give Hebei the win.
The loss leaves Changchun Yatai in 14th place on eight points in the 16-team league table.
In another CSL game on Saturday, Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye and Tianjin TEDA lost 3-0 away to Tianjin Quanjian.
A brace from Zheng Dadun (38th, 52nd minutes) and a goal from former AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato gave Tianjin Quanjian the convincing win.
Super Eagles skipper Mikel Obi was not in Tianjin Teda's squad for the game as he is still recuperating from injury.
The game was Ideye's 10th appearance for Tianjin TEDA this season, with just two goals.
Tianjin TEDA are now 12th on 10 points in the league table.
