China: Ighalo Inspires Changchun To Season’s First League Win

By James Agberebi:                                                                                                                                                                                                Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo was in action in Changchun Yatai’s 3-0 home win against visiting Henan Jianye in the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday.
It was Changchun Yatai’s first league win of the season after six games (they had lost three and drawn two of their last five league games).
Jie Sun gave them the lead in the third minute before Lasse Vibe made it 2-0 in the 47th minute.
And with seven minutes remaining in the game, Long Tan made sure of the three with the third goal.
The win moved Changchun Yatai to 13th on five points, in the 16-team league table.
Ighalo has scored just one goal in six league games for Changchun Yatai this campaign and has not scored in his last three league games.
His only goal so far this season was in a 1-1 home draw against Beijing Renhe in March.

…..and Odion Ighalo is the top 9, or he didn’t have a capable midfield to feed him with good passes? I wonder how the other players scored the three goals! The first thing Ighalo need to work on is his stability on the ball. He’s always falling down.

Ighalo plays in Russia, Nigeria comes home quickly in disgrace, period.

I hope Odion Ighalo is saving the goals for Russia. That would be great.

I have said it, the guy is not a complete striker, he needs good and constant feeding from midfielders or supporting forwards to score goals. He is just another model of Yakubu Aiyegbeni but more skillful than Yakubu. Martins would have been our solution but it is unfortunate he is out.

I remember when they say feed the yak he will score but what happened at the world cup? He made an all time miss time without number same is the case with this guy. He is skillful but scoring goal is not his thing let us get another option I won’t pick anyone since Obafemi is injured because I know the rest too will come and flop for now Nigeria has no No9 period.

Yakubu is even better with 22 goals in total for Nigeria upon all d misses. I’m not sure ighalo’s goals is up to 5 for Nigeria @ 29-30. May be he can score 10 at d world cup sa.
