Former Chipolopolo midfielder Linos Makwaza says the side must improve on their poor home form if they are to beat the Super Eagles in next month's 2018 World Cup qualifying fixture in Ndola, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The former African champions failed to win a game at home in their failed 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
Their only win at the Levy Nwanawasa Stadium, Ndola to date was a 2-0 victory over Sudan in a 2018 World Cup preliminary round fixture on November 15, 2015.
They drew 0-0 and 1-1 with Congo and Kenya in their last two fixtures.
Makwaza reckoned that the side cannot afford to play poorly at home against the Super Eagles.
"It is very important for us to start the World Cup qualifiers with a win," Makwaza told Lusakatimes.com.
"Zambia always perform well when they are playing big teams. Therefore we expect a big game against Nigeria.
"The players must die a little for mother land, we are behind them and we wish them the best."Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
