By James Agberebi: Former Nigeria international, Christopher Nwosu, has tipped the Flying Eagles to overcome Sudan in the first leg, final round 2017 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Khartoum this weekend.
The winners between the Flying Eagles and Sudan over two legs in the final play-offs will qualify for the 2017 U-20 AFCON in Zambia.
In a chat with Completesportsnigeria.com, Nwosu, who was a member of the silver-winning Flying Eagles squad at the Saudi 1989 U-20 World Cup, posited that Nigeria junior teams always live up to expectations, unlike the Super Eagles.
"The chances are big and I see the Flying Eagles coming out on top," Nwosu told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"We really don't have to be afraid of the junior national teams because there isn't much sentiment among the players which is much different with the Super Eagles.
"I wish them all the best of luck in the first leg."
The Flying Eagles are the defending champions of the U-20 AFCON after winning the 2015 edition in Senegal.
