Super Eagles winger, Nnamdi Oduamadi has confirmed to Complete Sports that he has no plans to leave AC Milan as he is due to get his Italian passport in two years.
Oduamadi who has been linked with a summer move away from Italy admitted he could have readily taken up offers from clubs from France, Germany and Belgium who were keen on him, but for the fact that this could deny him a Italian passport in 2017.
“I’d rather stay in Italy than move abroad at this point,” he told Complete Sports.
“I have a contract with AC Milan and in honouring it I will have achieved my aim of getting my Italian Passport.”
Oduamadi who was left out of the Super Eagles last two international friendlies against Uganda and South Africa however prayed he gets a look in ahead of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers which kicks off in June.
The three time AFCON winners were pooled in Group G alongside Egypt, Tanzania and Chad.
“I hope to get a chance to stake another claim for a place in the team. It’s quite tough if you ask me but we must qualify to atone for the 2015 AFCON miss.” he concluded.
