Reports claim Newcastle would be willing to let defender Ciaran Clark leave in January if Florian Lejeune returns to full fitness. Clark has made 61 league appearances from the Magpies since his switch from Aston Villa in the summer of 2016, but he failed to nail down a regular starting berth last season and enjoyed just 20 top-flight outings.
The 29-year-old has played seven times this term and benefited from the absence of Lejeune, who has yet to kick a ball in anger in 2018-19 after picking up a nasty knee injury in the summer.
Reports suggest the former Girona ace is close to a return, however, meaning Clark would probably be the man to make way, with Jamaal Lascelles, Federico Fernandez and Fabian Schar all seemingly ahead of him in the pecking order.

The Chronicle are suggesting Clark will be allowed to move on in the winter widow – but only if Lejeune can prove his fitness and is able to play a full part in proceedings.
Manager Rafael Benitez does not want to leave himself short should injuries crop up in the new year although it seems Clarke’s days at St James’ Park are numbered.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
