Clyne Offered Cardiff Escape Route – Report

Nathaniel Clyne is set to be offered an escape route from Liverpool by injury-hit Cardiff City Cardiff boss Neil Warnock reportedly wants the former Southampton right-back, who has only played six times for the Reds since May 2017.

The Premier League strugglers have been hurt by injuries to right-backs Lee Peltier and Jazz Richards this season, while Scotland international Callum Paterson has been pushed forward to add some presence up front.

Gabon central defender Bruno Manga has been played at right-back of late and Warnock knows he must address this issue in the next transfer window.

However, having signed Harry Arter on loan from Bournemouth, Cardiff are allowed only one more Premier League loan and may opt to use that on a striker.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s stellar displays have reduced Clyne to a minor role at Anfield, and the former England international’s only appearance so far this season has come in the Carabao Cup defeat to Chelsea.
