Nigeria’s D’Tigers continued their poor start in the men’s basketball event of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia by losing their second game 82-67 to Canada in the men’s preliminary round Pool A on Saturday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The D’Tigers team were earlier blown out in their first game 110-65 by New Zealand on Friday.
The former FIBA AfroBasket champions began the game on a shaky note in the first quarter as they lost 23-16.
But they bounced back to win the second and third quarters narrowly 21-20 and 15-14 but lost the final quarter 25-15.
Nigeria will face hosts Australia in their final group game on 10 April.
