Arsenal's goalkeeper Petr Cech has praised his teammates for their calm display in Sunday's Community Shield penalty shootout win over Chelsea at Wembley.
Saed Kolasinac's header in the 81st minute from a free-kick by Granit Xhaka cancelled out Victor Moses' opener for Chelsea at the restart of the second half.
With the regulation time scores level at 1-1, Arsenal scored four brilliant penalties to beat the reigning English Premier League champions 4-1 and lifted the Community Shield for the 14th time.
Theo Walcott, Nacho Monreal, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Olivier Giroud all scored for the English FA Cup champions while captain Gary Cahill was the only player who scored for the Blues.
Thibaut Courtois blazed his spot kick over, while Alvaro Morata saw his kick saved by Cech.
Only Manchester United have won the trophy (17 times) more than the Gunners.
Cech told BT Sports after the game: "You could see there was little between the two teams. We are pleased with our performance.
"We showed great composure to come back and the penalties are always a matter of who keeps their cool. "
Arsenal will kick off their EPL campaign with a home clash against Leicester City at the Emirates stadium.
