In recent years, bookmakers have significantly expanded the options available for soccer betting enthusiasts. One of the biggest resources for players is the variety of soccer bets. Therefore, we created this page to illustrate the most common wagers, such as 1X2, Goal/No Goal, Over/Under, and even some lesser-known options.
Main Types of Bets
The first chapter is dedicated to the most common types of wagers. Below you’ll find a list of the most popular markets. For those who are new to the world of sports betting, we recommend starting by getting familiar with these options before moving on to more complex ones.
1X2/Final Result
In 1X2 betting, the goal is to correctly predict the final outcome of a match after 90 minutes of play, plus any added time. This is the quintessential bet in soccer. A bet on 1 means you're wagering on the home team's victory, X indicates a draw, and 2 represents the away team's success.
Double Chance
The Double Chance market is an evolution of the 1X2 bet. The only difference is that here you can secure two possible outcomes instead of just one. With 1X, you win if there's a draw or if the home team wins; with X2, you win if there's a draw or if the away team wins, while with 12, you win if there is no draw. Naturally, the odds in this case are lower compared to traditional 1X2 bets.
Over/Under
In an Over/Under bet, you need to decide whether the total number of goals scored in the match will be greater or less than a predetermined number. This counts the goals from both teams. The most common line is 2.5: if there are 3 goals or more, the Over wins; if there are fewer than 3 goals, the Under wins. Other popular lines include 0.5, 1.5, 3.5, and 4.5. Over/Under bets can also apply to corner kicks or cards, for example.
An example: Let's say we bet on Over 2.5 in a game that seems likely to end with more than two total goals in 90 minutes. The bet will lose if the final score is one of the following: 0-0, 1-0, 0-1, 1-1, 2-0, or 0-2. Any other result will earn us the payout.
Usage: This type of bet is suitable when teams have strong offenses or weak defenses (for Over), or conversely, if the teams typically don’t score many goals and have solid defenses (for Under). It's crucial to analyze the data on goals scored and conceded by the clubs, both at home and away, to gain a clearer picture on how to bet and increase the chances of success.
Half/Full Time
With Half/Full Time betting, bettors must predict the score at the end of the first half and at the conclusion of the game. A bet is only considered winning if both scores are correctly guessed; if only one is correct, there are no wins. Here are the possible combinations:
