A Trixie is a betting method that consists of four combined bets – 3 double bets and 1 treble – involving 3 events or sporting matches. The name comes from a variation of the word "trio." According to tradition, a British noblewoman named Beatrice (nicknamed Trixie) complained about her losses at greyhound races and asked the King of England to create a new betting method in her honor.
It is one of the simplest forms of betting systems, both in terms of the number of events involved and the combinations used, alongside the Patent system. Consequently, it’s among the most popular with bettors, as it doesn't require complex calculations like the Goliath system.
