The camp of Glo Premier League outfit, Sharks Football Club of Port Harcourt has been further thrown into disarray following the unexpected exit of their former head coach Gbenga Ogunbote, completesportsnigeria.com can report.
Ogunbote dumped the Blue Angels on Wednesday to pitch tent with another Glo Premier League side, Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan.
His shocking exit has caused confusion at the club with officials already battling hard to end the on-going strike embarked upon by the players.
Sharks players like their colleagues in the other state owned club, Dolphins, have refused to train since the start of the week, protesting the non-payment of their salaries, sign-on fees and bonuses.
Completesportsnigeria.com scooped from a source within the club that Ogunbote's exit has further worsened things at the club.
''Everyone at the club is jolted by Gbenga Ogunbote's decision to leave the club '' the source said.
''It came at time when we least expected and in the middle of another crisis which has no doubt worsened the situation. We just hope everything will be sorted soon so that all this distractions won't affect us when the league resumes."
