Conte Casts Doubt On His Chelsea Future As Leicester Visit

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has refused to confirm he will remain in charge of the Blues next season.

There were reports during the week that Juventus coach Maximilliano Allegri has been lined up as replacement for the Italian at the end of the season.

Conte, who led the West London club to win the English Premier League
title in his first season at the club last year, has also been linked with the PSG job this week.

The former Italy manager who insists he is happy at Chelsea, has just another season remaining on his current contract.

“In football, anything can happen and you must be ready,” he said during his press conference ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Leicester.

“I have a lot of experience to deal with this situation. I trust in my work and what we are doing in these two seasons.

“I am happy and enjoying my time here. It wasn’t easy because it was not easy for me as it was my first experience in another country.

“For sure I have another year of contract and in this case I think the club has to decide to send me away. We have started our work here.

“When you start the work, you need time to improve your work and have solid basis. Football now is very difficult if you can predict if you stay for many years in one club.

“England is changing this equation. Before managers were in charge for many years, but now in England it is habit to sack early.”
