Lobi Stars striker, Musa Najare has been invited to replace Warri Wolves midfielder, Bartholomew Ibenegbu for this year’s edition of Copa Lagos.
Ibenegbu will not be part of Copa Lagos because he has a pressing personal commitment on the weekend that the competition will hold in December.
Coach Adamu Ejor has therefore invited Najare to take Ibenegbu’s place as they start preparation on Wednesday in Badagry.
Ejor noted that they will miss Ibenegbu but that Najare will be a worthy replacement.
“Ibenegbu told us that his immediate elder brother is getting married the weekend of Copa Lagos and that he will be very busy and asked to be excused.
“Najare has worked with us and has also participated at Copa Lagos previously.
“He is going to fit in very well and he will not have any problem coping with the other players because he knows that Beach Soccer entails.
” We can cope very well, although we would have preferred that Ibenegbu is here with us.
“From Wednesday, we will start training in Badagry and everything should go on well,” Ejor said.
Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Ghana will take part in this year’s Copa Lagos.
