The Super Sand Eagles will resume camp on Wednesday December 2, in Badagry ahead of the 2015 edition of COPA Lagos.
The head coach of the team Audu Ejor confirmed this to thenff.com on Tuesday..
Speaking ahead of the team’s camping, Ejor said young players would be given the opportunity to showcase their ability this time in preparation for other tournaments .
“Super Sand Eagles missed out of the Beach Soccer World Cup in Portugal and as such there is a dire need to energize the team to compete at the African Nations Beach Tournament and the World Beach Soccer Cup,” Ejor said.
He disclosed that Isiaka Olawale is still a member of the Super Sand Eagles though he will not be part of this year’s Copa Lagos.
Ejor has handed over the captaincy responsibilities to Bartholomew Ibenegbu.
“It’s time the young players take over from him in order to build on existing experience,” Ejor added.
This year’s Copa Lagos will hold this year at the Eko Atlantic City, Lagos, from Friday December 18 to Sunday December 20.
