Jack Cork feels there is still plenty to play for this season and hopes the festive period will bring Burnley some much-needed points.
It has been a woeful first half of the season for the Clarets and, heading into the busy Christmas period, they sit 18th in the Premier League standings with just 12 points to their name.
Only Fulham and Huddersfield are below them and it is in stark contrast to last term, when Sean Dyche led his troops to seventh place in the table and a spot in the Europe League.

Whether or not an early start to the season threw a spanner in the works is open to debate, but since Burnley failed to qualify for the group stage of Europe’s second-tier competition, things have not improved.
However, Cork does not feel it is all doom and gloom at Turf Moor and is relishing the chance of moving up the table in the near future. “We’ve played Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal in three of the last four games,” he told Burnley’s official website.
“In all of them we’ve put in a good performance and nearly got something from them. “We’ve got a lot to be optimistic about and we’re looking forward to Christmas and the New Year. We’ve got a good run of games coming up.
“It’s Everton and West Ham next and it’s great for us to be at home. To go back to Turf Moor and be in front of our home crowd is difficult for anyone coming here.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
