Fulham’s hopes of reigniting their interest in Lyon star Maxwel Cornet in January could be hit by his ever-increasing price tag. Former Cottagers boss Slavisa Jokanovic was believed to be keeping tabs on the right-sided midfielder during the summer, with Lyon valuing him around the £18million mark at the time.

However, no deal materialised, with Cornet deciding to remain with the French Ligue 1 side this season. While he continues to struggle for a regular place in coach Bruno Genesio’s first-team plans, Cornet has impressed greatly in the Champions League, scoring twice in the 2-2 home draw against Manchester City on Tuesday night.
The 22-year-old also scored when Lyon won 2-1 in Manchester in September and it had been suggested new boss Claudio Ranieri could look to Cornet as an option ahead of the January window.
But reports claim Lyon will now demand a higher fee for the Ivory Coast international and that might price out the Londoners given owner and chairman Shahid Khan sanctioned a £100m spending spree in the summer.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
