West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell is hoping the team can keep their good run of form going and push up the Premier League table. After a slow start to the season under new manager Manuel Pellegrini, the Hammers have started to find their feet and Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Huddersfield Town extended their unbeaten league run to three matches.
West Ham have climbed to 13th in the table – five points adrift of Leicester City in 10th – and the east London outfit host defending champions Manchester City after the international break.
England international Cresswell knows it will be difficult to beat the Citizens but the left-back is feeling confident ahead of the clash and believes the club can keep moving up the standings. “It’s still early doors but we want to keep our momentum going and really push for the top half of the table,” he told the club’s website. “There’s a two-week break now and we want to continue it when we get back to work. “We’ve had a good run and we’d like to continue that. We will come back ready for Manchester City. We don’t want to look over our shoulders. We want to look up. We want to push on and see how far we can go.”
