Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalic has named his final 23-man squad and an alternative player for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Dalic released a preliminary list consisting of 32 players last Monday, but has now dropped eight from the list.
As expected, the country’s big stars like Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic, Dejan Lovren, Ivan Perisic and Mario Mandzukic were included in the squad.
Veteran defender , Vedran Corluka, Monaco’s goalkeeper Danijel Subasic, Mateo Kovacic and Marcelo Brozovic are also in the list.
There was however no place for Spartak Moscow of Russia midfielder, Mario Pasalic, Marko Rog, Borna Sosa, Borna Barisic and Zoran Nizic in the squad.
Forwards, Duje Cop and Ivan Santini were also dropped by Dalic.
The Croats will face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in their first Group D game in Kaliningrad on June 16.
