Croatia Goalkeeper Subasic Injured In Monaco, Lyon Clash

By Adeboye Amosu: Croatia will hope the injury sustained by their goalkeeper Danijel Subasic in Sunday’s French Ligue 1 clash between his club AS Monaco and Olympic Lyon is not a long term one, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.

Subasic went off injured in the 15th minute and was replaced by Seydou Sy.

Monaco went down 2-0 following his exit with Marian Diaz and Bertrand Traore grabbing both goals for Lyon in the 12th and 27th minutes respectively.

They however rallied back courtesy of three goals from Keita Balde, Radamel Falcao and Rony Lopes.

The 33-year-old has made 22 league appearances for Monaco this season.

He has been capped 33 times at the international level by Croatia.

Croatia will face Nigeria in their first group game at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia on June 16 at the Kaliningrad Stadium.
