–Ajilete Warriors boss backs team to escape relegation
Crown Football Club of Ogbomosho chairman, Noah Bello says there is no going back on the sacking of former handler of the side,Lawrence Akpokona.
The Ajilete Warriors on Thursday announced the sack of the former Rangers of Enugu handler and immediately replaced him erstwhile Shooting Stars of Ibadan gaffer, Akeem Busari.
Bello stated that Akpokona who was recalled following his sack few weeks back won’t return to the job this time around.
He further said the management of the club took the decision after evaluating the team’s performance in recent months and the fact that the players have lost confidence in the coach.
”We have decided to do away with the services of coach Lawrence Akpokona and this time around,he is gone for good,”begins the soft spoken soccer administrator.
”The management of the Crown Football Club did a proper assessment on the team’s performance and decided to bring in a new coach that we strongly believe will help improve our performance on the field.
”We also discovered that the players have lost confidence in the coach, which is an indication that they can no longer work together.
”We have appointed a new coach in Akeem Busari and he is going to be with us for the rest of the season,” he declared.
Crown are currently occupying 19th position on the Globacom Premier League log.
