Czech Republic defender Marek Suchy says the team will strive to make amends for last Friday’s 4-0 demolition at the hands of Australia when they face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in today’s ( Wednesday) friendly encounter in Austria, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Karel Jarolim’s men were totally outplayed by the Australians in the encounter.
They will be desperate to make up for that setback against the Super Eagles who are also without a win in their last two games.
The 30-year-old admitted that the defeat, the heaviest in the history of the team, still hurts.
“We spoke about it, we talked about it with the trainers, the defeat still hurts, but we train and try to tune in to a more positive note,” the FC Basle centre-back told tyden.cz.
“We are thinking of the next match (against Nigeria) and we are looking forward to it because we have to redeem our image.”Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
